Back to Work!

Earlier this week I finished up a month long IATSE gig with the Moores Opera Center at the University of Houston as a scenic artist/stagehand. The talent and the technical elements were amazing. (I hope to post a link to pictures soon.) It was good work, but I am glad to be able to see my husband again (waking up when he goes to work for 30 seconds before passing back out does not count). Yesterday, I subbed for the first time (middle school too), and it made me miss having a classroom of high school students of my own that I had a relationship with. I don't want it back for everyday, mind, just I recognize how different, and difficult it is. Next up, Sunday night load out of a show, Monday night, and Tuesday load in of another show. After that? I will be obsessively checking the callsteward website. Oh, and the last time I looked at callsteward, I saw my seniority has gone to one of the 500s! So long 501s!
